After Hurricane Katrina, I became a caregiver of my elderly aunt and learned the in’s and out’s of senior care, from admission into long-term care facilities to advance directive planning and hospice support. In honor of Aunt Sis, who died in 2018, I began volunteering with my local non-profit hospice, Alive.

In the seven years since, I've helped establish a volunteer death doula program at Alive that supports the Middle Tennessee community. 

Farewell Fellowship, my private practice of death midwifery, continues to support individuals and families navigating end-of-life spaces. Farewell Education offers personalized training to pass this sacred craft from my hands to those who are called to build a trusting relationship with Death and accompany others who hope to do the same.
